Leadership SAISD (LSAID) hosted its first “Ed Chats,” a series of conversations on issues impacting the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD). The first “Chat” was held at 5:30 p.m., September 21 in the historic Plaza de Armas building, 115 Plaza de Armas. Discussing the upcoming November bond and tax ratification election was State Rep. Diego Bernal, who recently conducted visits to all of the 55 school campuses in Texas House District 123.  The candid conversation highlighted the direct impacts of the $450 million November bond and 13-cent tax ratification election to 13 of the district’s schools such as bringing classrooms and science labs into the 21st century, upgrading infrastructure and maintaining the operational and day-to-day facet of SAISD.  Superintendent Pedro Martinez and Board President Patti Radle were on hand to answer questions and give information about the state of the District.
